The 365 campaign builds on the 80 days campaign that was prepared for COP 21 but includes more examples as well as documenting the INDCs, NAMAs and the collective transport commitments. Examples include all modes of transport used for passenger and freight and highlight the role of partnerships, new and existing promising technologies from both the private and public sectors from all over the world.
As emissions globally from transport are growing, efforts to change the present transport paradigm must be scaled up. Indeed even to achieve the 2 degree target, emissions from transport will need to be cut by at least half by the middle of the century. This database has been designed to bring together not only the national commitments recognised by the UNFCCC, such as INDCs and NAMAs, but also the initiatives from the transport sector stimulated by the Lima Paris Action Agenda (LPAA) and snapshot case studies from the sector that can help inspire and encourage transformational change.

The 365 portal can be used to inspire take action on shifting transport onto low carbon pathways. It is a fully searchable database with 365 examples of transport and climate action, and can be a useful tool for governments, experts, NGOs and researchers. By using this database, projects and ideas presented can be adopted or adapted to local context. Gaining insights into the many different types of transport interventions already in place worldwide also demonstrates the commitment of the sector to work in partnership and deliver innovative and viable solutions.
Moving to low carbon transport is complicated and can be time consuming, we hope that by providing this easy access knowledge tool the 365 campaign would be seen as a positive action to help stimulate increasing effort to ensure that transport is able to fully realise its potential in climate protection and not as a climate polluter.
We welcome examples from around the work – please upload you information via the form found in the tab ‘Submit Entry’ and this will then be reviewed by our experts. If we have questions we will get back to you. Please remember that the examples need to be about climate related action on transport.
